Core Sampling For Channel Duplication

Gladstone Harbour, QLD

Obtain Core Site & Grab Samples

SEAS Offshore | Commenced 2015

Multi-Cat Shackleton and Crew were engaged by SEAS Offshore to carry out vibrocoring works as part of the Gladstone Harbour Channel Duplication Project.  The team of 6 successfully gathered more than 150 core site and grab samples.

The vessel was fitted with a stern anchor and hydraulic winch for the job which enabled unobstructed clearance for the vibrocoring equipment over the bow.  The Shackletons' deck mounted crane fitted with winch wire was operated via remote control by the crew for both vibrocoring and sampling.
