Fodico Health and Safety Policy

Fodico is committed to the health and safety of all employees:

  • Fodico as an employer has a legal obligation under the Work Health & safety Act 2011 not to act in any way to endanger a person’s occupational health and safety.
  • Fodico as an employer has a moral obligation to not act in any way to endanger a person’s occupational, health and safety.
  • Fodico has procedures and practices in place to control hazards and reduce the risk of injury and illness to all persons.
  • Fodico will provide adequate and appropriate information, instruction and training to all employees to enable work to be carried out in a healthy and safe manner.
  • Fodico expects employees, contractors and visitors to accept their own moral and legal obligations.
  • Employees are expected to fulfil the obligations to Fodico and other people by taking an active role in creating a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Contractors are expected to provide the necessary safety instructions, equipment and training to ensure they or their workers do not endanger their own or others occupational health and safety.

Fodico is responsible for communicating this policy and relevant health and safety information to all workers and visitors and interested parties;

Encourage a culture of consultation, initiative and responsibility to continually improve the performance of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

Senior Management is responsible for providing the leadership to support the development and implementation of this Policy and for ensuring it is effectively applied. This policy will be regularly reviewed and as a minimum every three years.

Fodico Environmental Policy

Fodico is committed to undertaking its business in a manner that recognises the importance of environmental protection and sustainability. It attempts to achieve ZERO spills and industry best practices in all its operation by:

  • Complying with all the applicable laws, regulations and statutory requirements relating to environmental issues.
  • Managing environmental and related issues in accordance with any client requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Applying waste minimisation and management principals and taking all practicable steps to prevent pollution and other adverse effects from our operations.
  • Educating and training our employees to continually improve awareness, skills and knowledge on environmental issues and practices.
  • Reviewing environmental performance and taking necessary action to improve performance.
  • Subcontracting recycling service providers to dispose of waste materials.
  • Actively preventing the pollution of our oceans and coastal waterways through conformance to marine pollution legislation and education.

This policy will be regularly reviewed and as a minimum every three years.

Fodico Quality Policy

Fodico is committed to performing all its duties and tasks in a timely, positive and cost-effective manner, balancing the needs and expectations of stakeholders to ensure the company remains a vibrant contributor to the economy of the region. Fodico is also committed to continuous improvement in the performance of its tasks and in its use of resources to accomplish them.

To this end it is Company policy that Fodico shall;

  • Measure performance as a basis for establishing improvements in key areas and regularly reviewing objectives and targets set.
  • Maintain a safe regime for marine operations, which is paramount to Fodico, investigate all reported incidents in accordance with documented procedures and initiate formal warnings or legal proceedings where required.
  • Consult regularly with clients, both individually and in groups, to remain abreast of customer requirements. Fodico encourages feedback from clients and stakeholders, and ensure that any possible improvements in systems or procedures are fully considered and, where appropriate, put into effect. Fodico will consult clients, stakeholders and employees on any changes being considered to the business and invite suggestions for improvement.
  • Fodico’s Senior Management will establish and review a set of objectives and targets for the improvement of services and operations.
  • Operate at all times openly and transparently in the overall long-term interests of Fodico’s stakeholders.
  • Comply with all legal requirements and pursue established best practice.
  • Further, as Fodico’s services depend upon the quality of its employees, Fodico is dedicated to the training and continuous development of all employees.

This policy will be regularly reviewed and as a minimum every three years.
